Your missing the point.. Sure people new or old timers can fly in a smaller
area.... Could your radio go on the blink.. Say the reciever battery or rec.
servos, linkage etc. go on the blink... How far can a plane fly with a full
tank of fuel... Can your plane fly over those trees???

Sure all could happen with or with out instructors or clubs... But ...
Without an AMA card.... Who would foot the bill if the above conditions
would arise???? And say, FAR fatched someone got hurt or something got
damaged!! You??? Your Dad??? Which I must add sounds like a GREAT
Dad!!

Yes worse case scenarios, But they do happen!! All most people here want
to do is help!! And show the things people learned the hard way!!
