As the member of a club I can fully understand the actions of the club instructor.There are safety issues as well as the insurance that having the ama carries,you may be able to pay for a car or some other damage but you cant put a price on a human life.I cant imagine any club allowing anyone who has never flown to fly unassisted for the above reasons and perfect example of this is my son has the nascar game on the computer and I have played it numerous times but can you imagine me going to nascar and saying i have never driven a race car but i have done it on the computer what do you think they would say if i wanted to bring my car on the track for a few laps.The point being you have to start somewhere.With all that said it is a great hobby and wish you all the luck with your flying.Keepem flying and have fun
