FYI, the F-16 on afterburners was caused by a bearing and wheel failure. The high temp caused the tail pipe to collapse. Luckily all the fire was in the pipe and not in the fuse. Once I killed the engine, I headed to the grass for a wheels up landing. The engine is in the careful hands of RTI. The F-16 will fly again.
