ITS FOR A SCIENCE PROJECT, what grade are you in dude, you dont have to make a wooden chassis, use some metal, they wont care, you made it, why wood
or better yet make it out of aluminum and make it lightened, then afterwards you could run it and it would be better than the one he has now. or if you have a good mill and can get ahold of a piece of titanium then that would be even cooler, not to mention stronger.
