RE: How to start the motor
Please don't be too proud to ask for assistance in this hobby. 99% percent of us who started out in this hobby did it with the help of a follow modeler. There are SO many tips and techniques that are best learned through others instead of ruining and engine or crashing a plane to learn (better to learn from other's mistakes than our own, its cheaper in this hobby).
I don't know what you were to accomplish by starting your engine. If you aren't familar with tuning it, you could easily damage or destroy a new engine by running it too lean or too rich (if ABC).
When you regain your patience and swallow a bit of pride, head down to the local flying field and watch to see who appears to know what they are doing (hint: if their plane deadsticks repeatedly during flights seek help elsewhere). and ask for assistance.
