I have one of those engines that I converted. The engine will start and run fine with the magneto. You have to cut down the fins on the front of the flywheel.

Plugging that hole will increase compression quite a bit and give it more power. I plugged it by running a tap part way in and using a set screw. Be careful not to get metal chips in the exhaust port.

That ZAMA carbureter gives poor performance. If you get the bigger carb(#28 stamped inside) the engine will really come alive.
