Default RE: will Coleman fuel / white gas and oil 40% work?

Coleman fuel works quite well. I agree with Clarance Lee on the fact the octane ratings on this size engine is meaningless. It will run as well or better on the lower octane mixes. I personally use as much oil as I can without fouling the plugs, usually about 30 to 40%.
Dont you mean 30 or 40:1. You had better be careful betting your piston and jug on what people say here. Most of this info is second hand. B*M*E requires you to run 87 octane, Z*D*Z requires 92 octane. Running low octane fuel on a hot day or with poor engine cooling could easily burn a hole in your piston.

If you drain all the fuel and plug all the lines to your fuel tank you will have very little gasoline smell. There was another thread here recently about this , some people posted a link where you could buy, at a premium price, oderless fuel that had the required octane ratings. This topic seems to come up once a month.

I have been using Coleman fuel exclusively in my ZDZ80, GT80, G38's and my DA50's. I have used Coleman on and off (depends on availability) for the past ten years.

Werks for me!
