I've been working on the same problem, so your not alone!

I've tried make modifications to pitch and throttle curves and other settings to the diffrent CP birds so they act like the lmh, but I just can't get it right.

Sometimes I think the finch feels sort of like the LMH when your hovering or in slow flight. But it goes to crap if you try some real forward flight..
