Get an instructor and buy yourself a Nexstar trainer. It has a auto pilot and comes with the Real Flight simulator to help you learn!
You know, a guy at our flying field showed up with one of those last week. I test flew it for him and I don't see what's so special.
The autopilot really didn't hold alt or heading much and it fought me in the turns. It was squirly and wanted to bounce of every landing.
I still think you just can't beat a big .60 sized trainer for learning.
