I have found that the best and fastest way to build the sledge wing is to build it as a one piece wing. Simply replace the balsa sheeting and the leading edge with 48" balsa pieces. You avoid the big glue joint in the center of the wing making for a lighter stronger wing.

On my second sledge I also increased the rudder and elevator size slightly hoping to get similar rudder and elevator control authority as my OMP 540. Sure enough I ended up with the OMP rudder & elevator authority and of course the Sledge stability in all the 3D stuff. (I need all the help I can get).
