RE: Engine tests/Range test complete
Same winter for me in PA, just north of you, remember. It has been crazy weather lately, snow, ice, sun, rain, but with the sun comes wind. Well, so much for wishful thinking. I just bought a C 160 at a swap meet really cheap. See, it was really cheap, because it crashed. The FG should fix pretty easy without too much weight addition, and since it calls for 2-.15 engines, I might put 2-.20 engines on it. That should take care of the weight. From the wing saddle back it is perfect, the wing is broke in three pieces, but fixable and the front part and nose cone are cracked up a little. The result of one engine deadstick and not two. I know womeone is probably wondering why I am talking about the 160 in a 130 column, but I have to work my way up to it. This little thing still has an 80" wingspan, due to a center piece extension, so the previous owner could fly it at "BIG" bird fly-ins, but it was only extended about 3". Anyway, I have a Super Chippy to test out as well as a Staudacher 300 whenever the weather gets better. Good Luck rryman.
