RE: has the AMA gone to far?
Darryl,
Your last post makes absolutely no sense at all. You keep complainign about the rules but in the next breath you tell us that you don't ever fly....and what in the hell has an autostart engine got to do with the AMA? The rule that you keep complaining about has to do with maintaining at least a minimum level of proficiency if you are not flying there is no way you can be maintaing that. If something is important enough to you, you will find a way to do it. Obviously RC jets are not as important to you as they are to some of us. FWIW I don't only fly I work hard so I play hard. Modelling is an important part of my life and has been since I was very young. So I make a commitment to pursuing it, for me it means I have to travel even though I have a couple of places locally that I can fly. I enjoy the time I spend with other modellers that share my same interests. You see these jets as toys I see them a stress relief and relaxation tools. Too many people are reading too much into the new rules, they loosen the restrictions on the majority of people. Gordon how often do you really fly 200+ mph? Is it really worht getting as worked up as some of you are getting over this?
