RE: has the AMA gone to far?
Ugh guys, how is David's desire to live near a location at which he can enjoy his hobby any different than someone buying a home at an airport community, or someone living on a golf course, or living near a great surfing beach, or buying a horse farm, or living near a race track or ... you get the point right?
I have often considered buying enough land to have my own runway. The problem is I also want to live near/on the ocean and large tracts of ocean front property that could be used for a runway are cost prohibitive, at least so far. Interestingly they are not cost prohibitive for my wife's uncle who has both a regular strip and a seaplane strip on his property. Now if only the strip were paved.
