Take it to the field next time you go glow flying. It does wonders for the attitudes of the naysayers when a well-respected (dunno about your club but in mine that's a dubious distinction

) glow flier brings an electric to the field that does more than just crash.
The Firebird/Aerobird planes fly just fine, BTW. We had an Aerobird Challenger get blown downwind until it was just a dot, and a club instructor flew it all the way back
