Default RE: Speed Sensor Question

ORIGINAL: mr_matt

Hello,

Well it looks like the sensor board is plugged is correctly or you would not have a speed display. I assume blowing that much air would make it register, it only takes a fraction of a PSI. I normally just blow on it with my mouth (with no witnesses around!)

Make sure the pitot is clear (that is, make sure the straight port 1 is clear). Then make sure you have it connectod via the tubing, to the correct port on the sensor.

Is the sensor board mounted remotely and connected to the ECU via a servo extension, or is the hose long and the sensor board mounted near the ECU?

Also, is this a 4.x or 5.x ECU?

THanks
Matt, I don't have a way of knowing which tubing plugs into which port on the sensor so I tried both. Same results. The tubing goes all the way back to the pitot. There is no servo lead extension, the sensor is plugged direction to the ECU. It's a brand new P-160 bought last month. I have no idea if it's 4. or 5. ECU.

I guess I could pull the tubing and blow thorough the tubing, however, It's brand new and I've never seen a blockage (I guess I could have zip tied to tight somewhere, I'll check that.

If it's not an air flow problem, can I send the sensor and pitot to you all to check out? Roughly how much money am I talking to do that?

When you say you blow on it are you saying litterally in your mouth? I'm not embarrased, I'll stick this thing ANYWHERE to get it to work.
