Default Ram 500 starting problems

Hello Pete; On the C02C version the only numbers that are reversed are the glow and the gas adjust parameters. On both of these parms the lower the number, the higher the plug voltage and the higher the gas flow. It sounds as if the START PULSE is too high. This will cause too much fuel to enter and the fuel will not atomize properly. It is good to understand what happens during the start cycle. First, the propane starts to burn. It heats up the vaporizer's tubes but never gets them as hot as they are when running. As the fuel enters the vaporizers, it exits in a liquid form due to the fact that the sticks are not as hot as they should be. The liquid does not burn as good as if it was properly vaporized therefor causing that spitting sound. If the fuel enters too fast it never allows the sticks to heat up nd the engine starts to load up. The spitting gets worse and may even quite due too being too rich. It may also shoot a good flame out. This is the reason why it is important to set the START PULSE WIDTH so that the fuel comes in just after it transitions into fuel ramping.
