Default RE: Engine tests/Range test complete

Ok guys, I guess I'm 4 engine qualified now. What a day. Rain this am, partly clear at 3pm, and very light wind coming pretty much down the runway. After getting the Herk out, and having some other eyes look it over, we fueled up and did some taxi tests, and all appreared well, so came back in to top off the tanks and went flying. I don't know how it could have gone any better. Very little trim was needed- slight up elevator trim, slight left aileron trim and it was flying hands off. Made about two orbits at altitude then made a low photo pass. The O.S. FX engines easily handled the take off at about 3/4 power. Landings are as easy as any other comparable plane I've landed, and easier than a lot! I can see where you could get behind on the approach if you weren't careful. One landing the sink rate was getting a little steep but adding power easily corrected it. Landings are very scale touching down with the nose high. Take offs same way. This plane flies almost identical to my Transall except it's bigger. Can't say enough good things about it. My son video taped both flights and can't wait to see it on full screen. He's on his way over here now to convert it to VHS.
All in all, great day.
Randy
