Default RE: Engine tests/Range test complete

Thanks for the encouragement guys. Bill, I still have to learn how to put up videos on the net, but I'll bet with the dial up connection I have, it would take some time, considering it takes about 12-15 minutes to download a 1 meg pic!
After taking the evening to reflect on the days flight, I conclude the following about this kit:
Anything bigger than .30 2cy on this plane would be flat overkill. The .25's handle it well, even at 3/4 throttle or less. After watching the video again, you can clearly tell that after rotation and getting about 40' of altitude you can clearly hear and see when I went full bore with the throttles. This plane weighs in at 17.25# dry. It could handle more weight (in the right places) easily.
Getting larger fuel tanks in to accomodate larger engines would pose a problem without some serious modification.
Usually on my first landings with any airplane I am cautious to make sure I don't stall the thing. Second landing I usually try to hold it about a foot or two above the runway to see just how long the elevator will be effective. Good thing about having a 1k' runway. (Better to stall a foot off the ground than 10'.)
All this considered, I still have not experienced an engine out situation. Based on the decent rate, I wouldn't want to have to "Dead stick" this bird in. I have the engines set up to a slow idle, but cannot kill them with the trim control. I know on a previous post Jimcork said he has had an engine out on landing at least once and it was manageable. Personally, I would not want to experience Two out on the same side-don't think that would be a good outcome.
If you are still in the building process on this bird, rest assured that it is a great flying plane.
