Default RE: Prop jet trainer

I have a Patriot and a DF Enforcer. Both are fun to fly and pretty fast, neither one is a 200 mph airplane.

My Patriot has an OS46 FX with a performance muffler, and goes about 130 mph. Obviously it would be faster with a Jet 50 or Quickie 500 engine.

The Enforcer is in the 150 - 160 mph range. With all of the mods. to make it DF it would take longer to build. Being a delta and a pusher it should fly a lot more like a Kangaroo than a Patriot. I have not made the leap to turbine and have never flown a Kangaroo, so I can't give you a direct comparison.

The Enforcer is my favorite. Most people are amazed at how fast it is. At Michigan Jets last year I had no problem keeping up with the Kangaroos and Hotspots. Check out Joe Lupton's web site for some construction details at: http://members.cox.net/jluptonjets/r...techniques.htm
If you don't want to take the extra time and trouble to do the DF conversion, a hot 90 engine on a stock Enforcer might get you close.
