Default RE: Engine tests/Range test complete

Craig,
I'm not sure how long a flight I could get on the 6oz tanks, but I know it will be longer than I want to be flying it. I'm thinking about 15 minutes would be about right, using the SWAG method of caluclating it. (Scientific Wild Ass Guess).
I broke the engines in on a test stand on the ground, using O.S. break in procedures. I have an 8oz tank on my test stand. I ran the engine for one minute wide open as rich as I could get it to run. Then, closed the needle valve to a two-cycle run for 10 seconds, then back to full rich for 10 seconds, and back to two cycle for 10 seconds and repeated this until the tank was empty, or nearly empty. so, I guess about half of the 8oz tank was run at full rich setting. Now that they are getting pretty well broken in, I'm guessing they're not using as much fuel so as I said, I guess you could get 15 minutes on a 6oz tank, figuring you won't be at full throttle the whole time.Best guess I can come up with. Yesterday, I taxied for about 10 minutes, some high speed taxi stuff and all, and when I came back in to top off the tanks, it had hardly used any fuel at all. Me, if I get 5-10 minutes for a flight, I'm good to go.
