Default RE: Speed records

Says RPM 1:
" Ok here is the link.

A few corrections, since I suppose that most of you can´t read German. As I read on the page http://www.hessenbruch.de/niels/ the video mentioned above is of a precursor model of the record jet, powered by a Behotec J66 (max. thrust 75N) and a maximum measured speed of 395 km/h (245 mph).

The record jet (max. speed 571 km/h = 355 mph as measured with a GPS) was powered by a Behotec JB130 (max. thrust 135N), had a takeoff weight of 7 kg = 15 lb (incl. fuel) and a wing load "beyond good and bad" (according to Niels). The flight was done in the Tschechian Republic, since in Germany it is forbidden to fly faster than 463 km/h at a height below 10,000 ft.

It´s a pitty that for the FAI R/C jets simply don´t exist, so we have to go by unofficial records and ignore the stubborn incredulity of the AMA freaks on this forum (there cannot be what may not be according to AMA rules). I wish there was an AMA-free jet forum.
