Hey guys, yes it was a maiden weekend. Flew the Extra for the first time. Joe, you are going to kill me on this one. I ended up having to add 10.5 oz dead weight on the nose due to mounting a third servo in the tail for direct connection to the rudder and the tail-wheel. I know, I know, I know.......I too hate dead weight. it must have been the drape curse that got to me. To be honest, the 160 flew the airplane so well I didn't even notice the added weight. Honest, I didn't notice it. This is the first time this has bit me in changing the tail-wheel and rudder connection from a pull-pull to a direct connection rod. Next time I will do a static test to check CG before doing the final installation. Oh well, lesson learned. I will post the best picture of the day just so you guys can see her. The finished product turned out very well. I also flew the UCD. I have to say the Extra might nudge the UCD out of first place in my most enjoyable airplanes to fly. great day at the field with winds out of the south and temps in the 80's with clear skies. Alabama at it's finest.
So when will all the new UCD's be finished. Joe, LL Matt??? You guys getting close?
