I to, cut away the coro at my leading edges, it gives a real nice smooth edge and for strength haven't had a failure with the 30-40 planes I built this way, even had a nasty midair with a friend the leading edge stayed in tack,had a few rips in the wing skins and both fuse's came down in piece's like heavy snow.
