THE FIELD BOX FROM HELL! aka The Ultimate Field box!
Billy, I got those containers at Target and they are 64oz each. I guess you could use tea or water. Fuel works fine in them. I had some similar jugs that had fuel stored in them for 10years. (threw the fuel away) and didn't have any problems with the plastic. It's pretty heavy duty plastic, about the same thickness as the one gallon fuel jugs you buy.
GalenB, the foam I used is call Great Stuff and you can buy it at WallMart or Home Depot. If you look at some of the earlier threads i posted you'll see how I did it. First I lined the tool box bottom with a plastic bag and I shrink wrapped my battery and the two containers. This was done to keep the great stuff from sticking to them. After it dried I removed the bag and unwrapped the battery and containers. If I did it again I think I would do it differently. I would take some Vaseline and coat the bottom and also coat the containers and battery. Then instead of piling the foam stuff up in one shot I would do it in two or three layers letting each layer dry completely before applying the next. The Great Stuff foam in messy so be careful not to get any where you don't want it. After this sets up you can remove everything and just clean off the Vaseline. The reason I would do it in layers is because when I did mine the bottom did not setup until I took the plastic bag off and let air get to it. By doing it in layers you shouldn't run into this problem and it will probably come out looking better. My containers can be removed for easy fill ups.
