RE: Splitting the 3D forum
Yeah, I believe this is a tough one to fix as well. I understand the desire for better organization, but with so many of us posting...I think it's to everyone's credit that it works as well as it does. You can also have too many forums...in which case info gets spread out and harder to find...and easier to miss. I can forgive some of the repeat postings too because sometimes a search produces a dizzying amount of info to sift through. I'd LOVE to see every single message neatly catagorized, but without a team of full-time editors moving stuff around it's not likely to happen. This is how it gets when we ourselves are in control, so you get the good and the bad.
I like Cap's idea of starting your own "mini-forum" with a new post using a carefully worded subject line to draw in the folks you want. If/when that gets corrupted....start another one.
