Don't know Bubba personally but have heard lots more good than bad but have heard both. I have built 4 of his kits. The only one worth a flip was the Corsair but the others ( I don't remember the names of them, they were for other people) were pretty crude and really didn't build well at all. In fact they had the positive impact of making me want to scratch build which I have found very satisfying. No more three letter word planes for me.
