Where the heck did you read that? In the 8 years I've been at this, and reading everything I can get my hands on, I've never heard of using the retract servo to actuate flaps. [sm=confused.gif]

Setting up the control throws on retracts is difficult enough, trying to get the flaps coordinated would be a nightmare, not to mention the fact that you don't want anywhere near as much (if any) flap on take off as you would on landing.

It only takes one servo to actuate flaps, so I wouldn't bother trying what you heard.

By the way; if I'm wrong, I'm sure a dozen people will chime in here and say so.
