RE: Combat Models A-10 weight?
Its been so many years agosince I built mine. nearly 8-9 now. I remember using Testors and then clearing over it with perfect clear. I think that worked OK but if you leave any fuel sitting stagnant and the nitro separates out from the fuel..........what I'm getting at is the Nitro will eat right through the paint. And where the engine was mounted gets soft and squishy.
Overall I was Really pleased with the A10 except for the weight. The thing looked great and flew maginally. it loved the ground and woulnt rotate well but that was from too low a deck angle. if it were scaled up about 30% NOW THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING!
A YS.45 is the perfect motor but without a pipe it just didnt have the poop!
