8 Point Loop?
I was thinking about putting this in aerodynamics but that forum is a little too hardcore for me. Plus I'm not sure it's an aerodynamics issue. Plane is a Tower Fun-51 with a OS LA 46, Futaba with standard servos. Great plane overall but odd thing I don't get. Full power, full elevator loops from level flight. Pretty tight but what happens is it pitches about 45 deg and then stops pitching for a fraction of a second and then starts pitching again. It does this all the way around so it kinda has the same feel as a 8-point roll but in a loop. There's still full aileron control and no snapping in the loop and the it's still a pretty tight loop considdering the plane and speed. I've mixed in a little opposite flaps (flapperon) to the elevator channel and it doesn't make a difference. Totally not a big deal but does anybody have an idea why this is happening?
thanks,
Mike
