RE: U Can Do 60
Thought today was going to be it. Lately, if its not raining, its windy. I did get a chance to run it up today. All my apprehension about the new set up with the "Cline" regulator was for nothing. Started right up and purred. Didn't have the tach on hand, but the idle is so low and smooth. Transition is quick and responsive. Held it vertically at idle with no rpm change or hiccups. You can almost count the cylinder fireing. The Saito 100 with the 16/4 prop has got some thrust. I may have to get a fish scale and see what it actually gets. Speaking of scales..........It weighed in at 8 lbs strong. I know I got some fat options on it, 5 cell batt. aluminum spinner, 16/4 APC and the regulator with extra fuel lines, tee's, dot's and clamps. Maybe a couple too many coats of paint on the canopy as well, it was scavanged and redone. Just curious to the weight of others out there. Also, balancing the aluminum spinner is very noticible, you could tell right away. Joe
