Don't worry too much about having trouble lining up w/ the runway on RealFlight....the lack of peripheral vision in the monitor makes it harder than lining up in real life. I don't see how upgrading to the full G2 will help anything. The sim will help with basic control inputs and left-right reversal (and learning new stunts later on), but you need to fly for real w/ an instructor. FWIW, i've heard from at least one person that can't land at all in the G2 sim (because of lack of peripheral vision), but has no probs flying/landing any RC plane in real life.
