i can relate to that as the "Lazor arrow and Balsa craft Rapier have the option of doing either.
Its safer to do it the hard way as if you use elevons and one servo goes then youv got nothing.
If youv got both then at least you have 50% of steering to get you out of trouble.

Do it the hard way id say.
