Default RE: Real Flight G2 Lite

I have the full G2. Correct me if I am wrong, but from reading the documentation it seems the only difference is that the full G2 has the events like limbo?

Anyway, even with look at ground set, it is still hard to get the correct orientation for landing on the sim. My landings in the sim are much more wild than in real life. Think of the sim as supplemental to real life instruction. As someone has set in their signature, the sim will not tell you when you are doing something wrong and will let you keep doing it. If you bank and yank at the field, the instructor should say something to you.

I didn't get G2 until after I had soloed. I just used G2 to increase my confidence, and to practice my manuevers. I practiced what I was taught at the field. Level turns, etc. And the cross wind training was good. Now I just have to have the wind shift 180 degrees like it does at the field!

So, like everyone has said, don't worry about how your flying on the sim compares to flying at the field. You get more visual clues at the field than you do on the sim. Try flying straight and level on the sim without a horizon reference. How do you actually know you are flying straight and level? Use the sim to practice, but practice what you have learned from your instructor.
