Glad tho hear things are coming along. FWIW, I also used the stock tail wheel and didn't do any mods to the LG. Unless you really hammer this thing to the ground you shouldn't have any problems with either. As Joe said and I can attest, the UCD 60 is very gentle when landing. Simply put, it floats in on a puff of air. It's hard to imagine busting the gear out unless you get caught low with a dead stick and catch the gear in a clump of grass.
