Well i would go with the M8 since everyone seems to like it. It recently got the readers choice award for RC car action and had ever since it came out. I would love to get a high quality FM radio and if I coud I would get the M8 but I am having cash problems so i am gonna stick with am for now.I really don't know that much about either but the JR R-1 and the M8 pretty much have the same features all of the top ends do but it really boils dwn to which brand you want
