RE: FuntanaS 3D - What Engine?
One of the prototype Jett BSE-76L 3D engines was tested in a Funtana. Still flying, and the combination flys AWSOME!! Using an APC 14x4W. Top end turns about 11K rpm.
The 3D engine uses a non-tuned muffler. Linear throttle, tons of midrange torque.
The Jett 76L with the lite muffler weighs 4 grams less than an OS46fx. Drops into the OS bolt pattern.
My .76L is currently in an AeroWorks 40 size Edge 540. Flying weight is about 6.25 lbs. This too flys awesome with the 14x4 out front. I've also had good success with a standard APC 14x6. It never sees full throttle unless accelerating vertically.
