Hello there Alan...
Sorry if we..or should that be 'I'... drift " Off thread " now and again i think it's normally during quiet times ..but i suppose it keeps you all in touch..no real harm ..theres also a fair bit of laughter..

Anyway,i've just bought 5 3010's for the project thats trailing the UCD...These chappies are really just an economy high torque standard servo...nothing flashy..[8D]
After some reaserch it became evident that (as to be expected i suppose) they have quite a high current drain and NiMh's, in a standard configureation set up ,wer'nt recomended...but after asking around i was told that the 6v 2300 ma/hr NiMh batt pack i'd bought for the support of these chaps was more than O.K...( I was going to say adiquit...but couldnt spell it

)
So with this 5 cell, 6v, high capacity " overkill " set up you also get more speed from the little devils, a higher torque, reasonable cost... Vs a slightly sloppy/weak gear train....if i dont splatter the Cyclone all over the runway...i may upgrade
The 90 ounce you get from this servo @ 6v should do you for the rudder on the UCD too

regards, Dave.
Just noticed... while i was typing Roger was saying pretty much thre same in his first paragraph...

....if i could type with more than one finger...!
