The plane you got is probably fun for fooling about only. It will never be like the 'real' thing. Get a trainer ARF and tutor. You will see how much the difference is between the 'toy' and the ARF.

The toy you have will not handle like a 40 sized trainer for sure. The flying characteristics are very different. Being smaller its twitchy and will not fly as precise as you 55" wing span trainer. Have fun with the 'toy' by all means but get a proper plane to learn to fly properly.
