Default Taking Dihedral Out Of An Avistar

My Avistar is starting to show signs of being the first trainer. I am going to move over to my Funtana now. But I would like to strip my Avistar and play with it a little. Can I use a radial arm saw and just rip it down the center, and then just cut a piece of ply into a rectangle to fit where the joiner is and epoxy them together flat? And how do I fix the wing saddle inside the plane to acept the flat wing? I want to glass the wing together after it joined, should I just do the joint or should I also add stripps down the lenth of the wing on both sides? My club president says I fly it like a pylon racer, so I would like to strenthen it up and race it in the race what you bring events. Some tail wires and tail dragger conversion, and it should be good to go.
