Default Help with brake setup w/ 10X

Hi Guys,

I do something a little different to most with my brakes. In flight-mode 1 (takeoff) I have the brakes set so that down elevator provides proportional braking.

However, in mode 2 (landing), I have them set so both UP and DOWN elevator activate the brake mix. The idea is that if you land in a nice, deep flare then then pulling back on the elevator further won't result in the model lifting off again. In fact, the effect of the UP elevator seems to apply more pressure on the main wheels and seems to bring the model to a nicer stop sooner. It also seems to lessen the tendancy of Sabres to scrape the wing tips in a cross-wind situation.

However, if I come in a bit too hot I ease off the up elevator when the model touches down, give it a second or two and then feed in down elevator to throw out the anchors.

Once the model is stopped, I flick the flight mode switch back to the takeoff position and I can taxi back with just down elevator activating the brakes.

Works for me, but each to their own...

Garrett
