Help with brake setup w/ 10X
Hi Guys,
Under Australian turbine regs, we are required to have a means of shutting down the turbine from the tx that is independant of the onboard ecu/tcu. That generally means a servo-operated fuel valve.
One my BMT 120KS I have the snap-roll button configured to start the engine (but not stop it) and the right hand slide configured so the last 20% of the slide travel activates a mix that closes the fuel shutoff valve. Pulling the idle trim down will also shut the engine down via the tcu.
Generally speaking though, I am a big advocate of starting the engine via the GSU. I like to watch the start and ramp sequence to idle every time. I also like the fact that the GSU can then supply an additional 3amps to the starter so you aren't depleting the on-board battery pack any more than you need to.
So far I have extremely happy with this setup.
Regards,
Garrett
