GasTurbine,

I am looking at getting this boat (like we previously discussed), but am curious about the speeds. My brother has a Kyosho jet stream 1000 nitro and I am looking for something that can at least keep up with his boat, do you think this might handle the task?

I believe he has a .15 engine in his.
I'm sorry I'm asking and I don't expect you to know about the speeds of every boat out there, but I would really hate to get this boat and not at least be able to keep up with him.

Great review btw, I really enjoyed reading it.
Hi Sand.

The Kyosho Jet Stream is a molded plastic boat about 2' long, and 9" wide. It weighs about 2 1/2 lbs, and I thought it came with a .32 glow engine.

Comparing large gas boats, and small glow boats, is like apples and oranges. And glow engines can vary greatly...a bottom of the line .32 can make 1/3 hp, but a high end performance .32 with a header can easily make 2 hp.

Anywho, the Jet Stream is not a boat I can see doing 40+ mph, my bet is you will be just fine against him.

Thanks for the review compliment, and let me know what happens.
