David,

I know your plane is almost done but is not even finished yet it right?? Why don't you wait until the maiden and see how she handles?? Seems like you are being a little pessimistic with the anticipation of a bunch of problems. I'm with Joe on this, fly her with the sticks first then see what you have got and make adjustments from there. Just throwing the mixes in when it might not be needed could cause problems in itself. Don't go crazy trying to wring her out too much until you are satisfied with the mechanics. I always have an experienced pilot that I trust take her up first. I have saved a couple of airplanes that way including my last one. It's not sorted out yet but is getting close. We have only had to add some expo and do some mechanical adjustments on the control surfaces. The planes flies like she's on rails, but wants to ballon when landing. The GC is where it's supposed to be but I'm adding another oz of weight to the nose and trying again Monday.
