if you ever get an os, i think the la will leave you with a bad imnpression. the fp, fx, and ax series are far better engines imo and they have tons more power. after good treatment, my la vibrated it;s own prop loose it was so bad and it over-revved and ruined itself. no, it was not my error. i tightened it down per specifications and i had not changed the prop for a couple weeks. it was jsut that bad of an engine. the idle was really poor, it deadsticked most of the time. i eventually got tired of putting up with its antics and i sold it and bought an fx. that the best 2 stroke engine i have ever opperatied. i have used (but not owned) gms, irvine, tt and others, but my good ol.46 fx was the best of all of them. it was so quiet that when there was another plane inthe air i could not even hear it. it had just as much power and it had the smoothest idle i have ever seen. i have never used the new ax but i have heared nothing but praise for it, and it is mostly the same as the fx, jsut with a couple parts that are designed f=differently, but same concept.
