Default RE: mccoy engine

Bill,

I wasn't throwing stones. I'm alway tickled by the range of feedback that comes from a McCoy Red Hed question. I've always had good ones, 2-3 seasons for some of them. I never had one wear out as you have and never had one that wouldn't run. That's not saying anyone else hasn't had those results and I know guys that have. When you think about it, it makes sense since the QC was so bad the fits and material control was widely varied. When you got a good one (statisically it had to happen now and then) it was truely an outstanding (relatively speaking) engine. I have one .35 and 2 .29s of that sort. Easy starting, smooth and long lived.

Ya' gotta' luv these old paper weights!
