This is the second cowl. I painted it with Rustoleum paint. The color is sun yellow. My local Home Depot will computer match paint in Rustoleum. However, when I went to Home Depot, I found the sun yellow color in a spray can and it was almost perfect. So, I got it, a can of primer, and a can of gloss clear for about $8.00. It is a much closer match. I have used Rustoleum before and found it to be fuel proof to about 15% nitro. The red wheel pants help to offset the graphics so I will probably leave them red. Yes, I talked to Jim at Creek about the color. They are trying to get a better match on the next batch of kits. The graphics came from Charlie's Flying Circus and they do work very well with this model. The hardest part was getting the stock graphics off the wing, but a little acetone took care of that. I am amazed at how light this airplane is.
