I have a small anodizing shop. Anodizing involves a few pretty nasty chemicals. It's not hard to do just takes a good bit of time and the right know how. You can do some pretty cool effects with anodizing, splashes, mutli colors, acid wash. It adds a very nice coating that unlike paint won't peal off.
