O.K., here's what happened to me today. I'm running the truck, really learning how to nail those jumps! Having a GREAT time.
On one not-so-pretty landing, the engine just shuts off. like someone grabbed the flywheel. I check it out. . . no loose parts, no missing parts, no bound parts.
O.K., I fire it up again. Starts more or less fine, chirp the thottle to clean out the muffle, let it go.
Runs for about half to one minute. Dies. I do this about five or six times. No luck. Finally, I re-tune it. It runs (but hot).
I get it home. . .
Head is loose!!
Tighten it down, still does the same thing (WHAT THA!)
Pull the brand new plug that I put in it a few days ago and replace it with another new plug.
Oh, it runs fine now. I hate when multiple things happen all at once and you're troubleshooting all morning instead of shredding the hillside.
Oh, by the way, I got the car up to 8 feet high and long jumps up to 10 feet in the air with four-wheel landings. I love this thing, man!
Can't wait to break something bad
P.S.
There was nothing wrong with the original plug, accept folks said it should be replaced after break-in. After a gallon of fuel, it was still working fine.
P.P.S.
The new plugs were HPI brand #4
