GOOD LUCK!!!!! I had the same thing happen to mine last year. I called Creek and thy told me it was not a defect because no one else had the problem.
I gave up and put a canopy off of a Cap 232 on it, and it looked great.
Sorry to hear he is having the same problem. I would buy one from midwest or hangar 9 and make it work.
