Default Reflex 4.0/futaba square cable problem

Hi,

Just putting a FYI for a problem I faced kinda fix it myself, in case anyone runs into something similar.

Issue:
When using 9CHP, and the DSC cable, the signal is not getting through fine. Sometimes:
1) Reflex can't even sense that the transmitter is ON,
2) cannot sense some channels,
3) channels running wild.
4) Sense ok for 1% of the time, and loose connection 99% of the time when moving the wires around

What's strange:
- Everything works fine if I use my 4CH skysport with the pre-supplied cable
- Everything works fine when I brought my 9CHP and the DSC cable back to the shop. The set was hook on to a PC there with another Reflex cable.
- But everything falls apart with 2 different PCs and 1 notebook I have access to.

Config:
Reflex 4.0x
Futaba 9CHP
Square DSC cable

Computers having same problem:
2 PCs: 1 WinME, 1 XP
1 notbook: Win2k

Solution:
Recalled I read somewhere on someone mentioning about grounding a brown cable. I happen to see a brown cable in the DSC mono socket end. The closest thing to ground in that socket is the piece of metal that secure the wire to the socket. (Although I am pretty sure that piece of metal is not connected to and ground cables). I place a jumper wire across from the brown cable to the metal.. and everything works fine now. (I tested it by short-circuiting the brown to the metal with the end of a paper clip..)

My problem is solve now... and I can really get some heli practise using my 9CHP.
